Remember, Helion is in the sky and Insund is underground~

All that gray area is the Valorian Empre. If you go further south of Myriad, all you'll find is more Valorian territory.
Myriad is cut off from the rest of the world because Valoria won't let anyone in or out of Myriad.
But the Myriaders have airboats, don't they? Why can't they just fly out? The Valorians have cannons. Lots of advanced, powerful, scary cannons. And as amazing as the airboats look, they're actually quite fragile. Take out just one wing or sail, and the whole thing crashes. It also doesn't help that Valorians are pretty ballsy and will shoot pretty much anything out of the sky, even if it's a UFO made of titanium.
